We were honoured to host Katie Vainauskas Katie Vainauskas, sophie_allum and Maggie Price Maggie Price for pizza and a chat as they shared their stories with our female members and game leaders. Thank you to our Female Development Officer Frieda Maher for creating this opportunity and to our friends at Football NSW for your support. While Sophie has just officiated her first Australia Cup match and Maggie reached a decade in the A League, you may not all have watched Katie Vainauskas do her thing: the very first woman to officiate a men's A League club AND NSW NPL first grade in 2014-2015!

From Henley to Hahn! Football Canterbury players will see a familiar figure on the line for tomorrow's Australia Cup Round of 32 match between Marlin Coast Rangers and Brunswick Juventus as CRA's Dante Diaz continues his excellent year with another fantastic appointment. A Football NSWotball NSW's elite Referee Academy, Dante also officiated at the Emerging Socceroos Championship in April, and now has a significant senior football appointment to go with it. We wish Dante all the best for tomorrow when he continues to do CRA proud.

We're proud to see Beatrice Shimada, Nicholas Yfantis, Athan Bris and Lovely Sison selected to represent the Canterbury Referees Association at the inaugural Deploy Association Championships in Mudgee this July.Football NSWl NSW brings together all 16 Member Associations for this exciting new event, these officials will represent the strength of refereeing within our football community and the pathways available through local football.
We wish our CRA refs all the best as they proudly represent Football Canterburyrbury community on this exciting statewide stage.

Are you a senior referee with 12 months' experience or more? Do you want to continue to improve your foul recognition, player management, and law interpretation skills? CRA is pleased to announce the first Senior Football Match Official (formerly Level 3) classroom recap + practical course for 2026.
The course will be run by CRA Development Officer Oliver Leanfore, Football NSW 2025 Referee Academy member.
